Never heard of hot brown sugar sauce...but pudding cake is either a really moist cake that has pudding and extra milk in it or your poke holes in a just baked sheet cake and pour just made hot pudding (not instant) all over it. That is really good with chocolate cake and chocolate fudge pudding and melted chocolate chips on top. Chill before serving. Bon apetite'

Dont know what youre talking about, but i know the hot brown sauce is just butter and suger in a cast iron skillet. You put it in the oven until its all boiling and brown. then your pour the cake mix right on top. It gives the cake a slightly bitter taste and crunchy texture on top. Thats the way west indians do it. Put nuts and raisins in th batter to make it taste extra good, and use rum instead of water. YUM!!!!

I think what you are looking for is called Flan. I do not have a recipe, but am sure you can get one at www.foodnetwork.com. I thought it may help you to put a call out for a Flan recipe if that's what you are looking for.
