Hitler never hated the Jewish people, he wanted power and to conquer the world, he used hate for the Jews to unite the German people behind him.
not all of the German people hated for the Jews but there were enough to get him in control. and it just escalated from there.

Maybe he hated his father?

As to the more general question, why did Hitler hate the Jewish people? Why do people hate the Jewish people and try to destroy them?

Satan wants every Jew destroyed ... because then he would win. God has declared that His Eternal Son, (a descendant of David by the human line,) will receive the Throne of David ... that He will reign over the house of Jacob for a thousand years and then forever and ever. If all Jews are destroyed, then Satan believes there will be no kingdom for the King.

Honestly, I don't think his father was Jewish, however, consider this about him:
As a young man, Hitler fancied himself an artist and wanted to enter a school of art. He sent some examples of his work to a large Art school, run by an Jew. Apparently Adolf Hitler had no talent, and consequently the Jewish art professor sent them back saying basically "try another career, son". From then on, Hitler nursed increasing hatred for Jews , sometimes rejection has devastating effects on certain individuals.
Could it have anything to do with it?

He was afraid of the strength of the Jews in Germany. Jews held a large percentage of the most important jobs such as
doctors, lawyers, accountants and store owners. Hitler's own
extreme insecurity led him to an extreme level of paranoia.

His father wasn't Jewish. He hated his father anyway. It doesn't matter why he (if he even did) hated the Jewish people. There are still racists around now. It's just environment and personal experience.

Because a lot of people hated the Jews at the time, he just took that hate to the next level. It was a different time, and racism was nothing out of the ordinary.
