Why is it some girls look down on a guy because he is not materialistic and don't have much money. Since when did materials and money become a major role in the dating area

I don't consider materials and money to be important for a relationship but I do tend to look down on my boyfriend for not having much money because for 4 yrs now he relies on me to pay for everything. He is not very materialistic but always tends to need something money for the doctor, new tires, court dates etc. I do not mind a non wealthy man at all I just don't want to have to completely support him either.

Well, I for one am not one of them. I didn't date my future husband for money. I wasn't concerned about that. I looked for his responsibility-was he living on his own? paying his bills? did he have a car? have a job? I didn't care how much he made, what kind of car he had or where he lived. But there is a difference between being poor, middle class and rich.
If anyone wants to have a future: getting married and having a family, you AT LEAST have to be middle class for it to work out. You don't want to raise you kids when you have nothing.
Some women are just selfish and are gold diggers. They just want whatever they can get out of a guy. A lot of single girls out there maybe like this because they think they have a future if they find a guy who has money. If you don't like this quality in a woman, keep looking! There are plenty of other women out there who are looking at more than your wallet or bank book! Good luck!

Not true!!! I've dated both types and I have loved them regardless of material possesions. Maybe you need to look harder.

they are all gold diggers! its like-if you want a girl-then make sure you invest. these girls are crap.but not all girls are goldiggers.
