I'm a 6'2" 20 year old guy who has always been taller than everyone in my area, especially the females. My friends sister is 13 and already 6'0" tall. She is always wearing high heels when i am around. She has one pair of shoes that make her so tall that when I stand next to her I am barely taller than her shoulder(and i have to stretch to do that), she cant walk in those shoes very well but she tries. She is going to be taller than me without shoes soon enough, i have accepted that, but she seems to really enjoy making me feel uncomfortable. She has also told me that she wants to be at least 6'6" barefoot. I have watched her grow up as her brother and I have been friends since we started school. i never noticed her height untill one day i was helping thier mom move furniture, and we found an old height chart. My friends sister was 5'8" at 10 years old. Her brother was only 5'0" at 11. I was only 5'4" at 11. does anyone else have or has had a similar problem?

You have a nice height for a guy, she is a little bit too tall for her age indeed. Don't feel bad, she is still a kid and that is why she likes to tease you, once she realize that she is taller then the average girls and guys she will not wear the heels anymore.
It is just a stage of her age.
You are more mature and should be more confident, get a six pack under your shirt, focus somewhere else, challenge her to work on her abs ;) she will no longer pay attention to the high heels

Dear Joe - you are 6'2"!!

Does it matter if this girl is taller than you? She's only 13 - I'm glad she has embraced her height - it's probably a reaction to the fact that MOST guys give her grief about how tall she is. (I mean really, do you know what dancing with a guy who is 5'8" is going to be like for her? If she doesn't do the 6" of air, he's going to have an eyeful.)

And, I have no idea about her or her genes, but if it makes you feel better, I never grew another inch after I was 14 years old.

Try not to let it bother you. Honestly, I suspect some part of her wishes she'd stopped at 5'8" - especially when she's shopping for pants.

Why is this a problem, there will be people taller than you all of the time. Why should size matter to you?
I am not trying to be rude, I just don't understand the problem.
Be glad you are who you are and don't worry about someone else's height.

Don't worry about it. It's not your height that matters! What really matters is what is inside. Who cares if this girl is taller than you? I am really short for my age. Everyone is taller than me. I can understand that you are used to being the tallest, but you just have to accept that there are always going to be poeple better than you, or taller than you in your case.

Anyone who obsesses about someone else being taller than them is a very small person indeed.
