After taking a career matching test, I ended up with two major results. One was in the medical region, around surgeons and such. Quite unlike it is my other answer, Federal Agent, which would be just as good of a career as a surgeon. Which one is better?

A career matching test may or may not depending on its accuraccy truly identify where your career aspirations are best headed. Re surgeon, what are your grades like, do you like science, do you want to go to school for many years of very specialized training, are you aware of the high student loans yoou will incur. Do you have an interest in the medical field?

Federal agent? That seems like an odd career category..What about a state agency or a agent that does investigations but for a company and so on...just seems like a funny category.

The fact that you tested high there tells me that you likely tested to be methodical, liked to be in the public, liked to serve others, had good authority figure background and other aspects. To me though, that job describes a whole series of potential career avenues for you.

Where are you in your education or career relative to taking this career matching test.

NEITHER. If you didn't want to be in the medical field before this test, then it will surely be a huge waste of time and money to pursue this profession. And about federal agent- who WANTS to work for the government. That's like signing up to be a hall monitor.

I say go through college and get a feel for what interests you, then go from there.

choose Medical.
Reasons include....in Medical you will make more money, people will look up to you and respect you a LOT more...you will have lots more prestige.
In Federal Agent....you are likely depending on the government for a payccheck, and government may go Bankrupt any moment now.

no one can answer that for you. We dont know your educational backround.
You do what is going to make you happy. Or don't do neither. Just becasue a match test gives you those results, it doesnt mean it;s what you were meant to do.
