You know, this just came up in a novel I read. Interesting to note is that twins are originally one unit that splits, essentially the same as cloning. So if clones have no soul, wouldn't that mean that one of each set of twins have no soul?

Of course they would. A clone is simply a twin. Twins have souls, so would clones. For people who say no because only God makes babies, well that's silly since women go through in veto all the time and their babies have souls. It's really not that much different than that. I personally don't see the point to cloning. Why would you want a twin who was 20+ years younger than you. And really you'd be making a biological child of your parents. It doesn't seem necessary to me.

I think what you mean by soul is a personality. That which makes us unique, a clone would look alike in appearance but would in the end be a different person that it's predecessors. Although our genetics make up some of what we are, experience is the key. My clone would not have the same life experiences that I have had, it would be impossible to duplicate all the things that I have experienced in my life. My clone would have a slightly different if not more different personality as I do, because he would not have experienced the things that I have in my life. For one thing he would not be a Marine unless of course he chose to join.

If I, Joe Bloggs, was cloned today I would still have a soul.
The clone, Harold Worthington, would be a different person with a different soul and be 47 years younger than me.

According to the Bible, the soul is the person or the life that the person enjoys, so yes, the cloned person would be a soul or have a soul in that sense. If you are asking if he/she would possess some ethereal essence that would allow them to continue to exist after death, then, no--even the original person would not have that. Satan lied to Eve in the garden and told her she would not die for disobeying God. Obviously she is not still visible to us, so he just changed the parameters and made her invisible so some people are still buying his original lie. Sadly, the cost of believing this could be your very life.

Since identical twins are clones, an answer of "No" to your question is actually stating that one member of every pair of identical twins doesn't have a soul. Is that what you all believe?

No, Scripture says "before you were formed in the womb I knew you." notice the words in the womb. and I knew you. GOD created everyone, not man, and if a clone had a soul then the creator would be GOD like and I know all you atheist want to believe this.

no! Ezekiel 18: 4, tells us " behold all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sinneth, it shall die. " Man cannot beathe the breath of life in to nothing. therefore if Jehovah God did not create this life, it is souless.
