I am curious to know in this aspect, since I get a lot of crap over in the Political forum that I'm done dealing with for awhile... I was hoping to get some sort of insight from you guys on your views and why. Much appreciated, thank you :)

I am a conservative libertarian which means I nearly always vote Republican.

I am very much in the minority of Atheists from the ones I know. Maybe 10% are conservatives?? Just a guess.

I am Agnostic, I guess it's kind of ironic that I be an independent. I do tend to lean more conservative on some issues, but way left on others. Like I believe that all illegal drugs and gambling should be legalized and heavily taxed. I say we exploit the people who have problems with these things what do I care if they destroy them selves it's their right to do with their lives what they wish as long as they don't bother me, at the same time I think that people in jail should not sit there, they should be made to do manual labor, make them be productive on some level, and if they are on death row, they should be given to science for testing, much like we do with animals. I think that they should do away with social security and have a forced 401k. Why should I get less of what I put in for my retirement, when it could be put into a high interest earning account so that I have more than what I put in.

I consider myself a Conservative though some people want to label me Libertarian because I'm an Atheist. I have voted Republican on the last 2 presidential elections (wasn't legal to vote before) because the counter-candidates didn't appear to be better.

Atheistic Buddhist, progressive Democrat. Primarily I am vote Democratic because I believe at this time they are most in favor of maintaining individual liberties (ethnic minoritiies, women & gay people) and working to ensure a living wage. I am a bit concerned about their affection for regulation, but many people agree with me in trying to restrain the bureaucracy.

I'm an atheist, but I'm not American, so those labels don't apply. I'm pretty liberal minded, so I'd probably be a Democrat if I lived in the States.

a lack of cultism/religion doesn't always dictate ones politics, and vice versa.

people often think it does, since so many christians are used to being told how to think, that their politics are also directed to them by their pulpit.

it isn't so for free thinkers.

I'm a traditional Conservative. Do not confuse that with being a neo-con masquerading as a Conservative.
