God always was..but actually the question does not take into consideration that if God did have parents, the next quest ion is who were their parents and then who were their grandparents.

It all stated with GOD who always was. He has no beginning, no end. He is the Alpha and Omega.

PS 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

1 Tim. 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be hon our and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

We can not really get a good concept of eternal but think of this. If the universe was in a big box...what was outside of the box?

I guess you would call them God the grandfather and God the grandmother. If they existed I would expect them to live on or near the top of Mount Sinai, in modern day Egypt. Their son God the father was placed in the Ark of The Covenant, a Black Box with two winged angels either end, by Moses and carried into Israel.

God is God, he made himself, because he's God and he's just always been here. I mean, if you can create the universe and do amazing things, that probably gives you the power to be almighty and more powerful than anything, so you can make yourself.
