My kids are a little younger (11 and 9) and we play Clue and Yahtzee. We seem to enjoy those the most.

Monopoly, Rumikub, and Skip Bo. They can all be played with 2 or more people.

Scrabble and Yahtzee all the way! Scrabble would improve his vocabulary and Yahtzee is great for the match skills....
