Has God ever convicted you for something and then later blessed you with the exact same thing.

Receintly I felt a huge conviction that the relationship I'm in is wrong. The hard part is that we have a child together. Has anyone ever experienced something like this where God has turned around and blessed you with the same relationship or circumstance once you've repented.

I realize that God will Bless me no matter what as long as I continue to follow Him. What I'm asking is if anyone has ever experienced him blessing you with the same relationship.

You were blessed in the fact that you were listening to the Holy Spirit , enough to at least repent.
I believe that the Lord does give us the desires of our heart, but usally only after we give them to Him first.
That is, taking the short cut at first, gets us there(sometimes) but usally is quicksand, and you cannot exit your problems without major help.
so...God would rather us built our hopes and desires on the firm foundation of HIS WORD. That is, the next time you have really important issues, take out the word, pray, and WAIT for direction.
Godbless you as you seek the truth! -LIVE4TRUTH=]

Yes, I got a divorce for a reason that was not biblical and was very convicted by what I had done, and rightly so. I was broken...I love God with all my heart, and that I had sinned against Him absolutely broke my heart.

Years later, He has given me a beautiful life, full of peace and love and joy. I repented of my sin and I am following His admonition which is: a woman is not to leave her husband, but if she does, she is to remain unmarried. If God convicts you, if you repent, if you desire to follow His ways...He will bless you, no question.

This is the hardest question I've ever seen. My list of sins is enormous. I don't feel convicted of any of them. Convicted is probably just not a common word between you and me. Moving on: You love the child. Your spouse loves the child. You have that blessing in common. Yeah, that is proof of an Almighty.

I'm not to sure about the question, but if you study King David and Bathesheba, after so-called repenting and laying in the dirt for days to save the baby of his adulterous affair, when the baby dies he goes back to her and have another child Solomon, but this time, the bible says that he loved him(Solomon)......

Absolutly. One of God's main desires is to take our life and make something good out of it! He loves to do that because it not only helps us in our time of need, but He also gets glory for it!

Totally!!!
I know a couple of couples this happened to.
The remarkable one involves a divorce involving severe domestic abuse with husband & alcoholism with woman.
He gave his life to Christ at a sister church where she gave her life to Christ. Neither one knew they had done that.
The healing took a couple years, but they are remarried now for 3 years. They met in 8th grade and had 3 kids together.

What does God have to do with this? Do you not have a mind of your own? Does god think for you? It sounds like you and your boyfriend just worked out some problems...it happens all the time..Just because you didnt give up, doen't mean there is divine intervention....Have some faith in yourself.....

I like this...Some Christian gave me a thumbs down for saying have some faith in YOURSELF.....what a bunch of idiots...

I take it you aren't married? Why don't you get married? If he isn't a believer, why don't you both seek Christian counseling. God may bless you both, for putting Him first.
