well let's talk about quality,
regardless of who would be done first, the mexican's would steal half the paint, and the job would be terrible unless an american was standing by to supervise.
all you idiot's who think mexican's work harder, obviously have not worked beside them like i have for the last 20 years!
In the world of construction, no mexican has outperformed me ever.
But i have had to go behind plenty of them to fix their low quality 'work'!
the only south of the border workers that EVER inmpressed me were the ones from El Salvador. They know the meaning of work. Mexican's immmediately go on break theminute you turn your back. And then if you turn your back long enough, half your tools "disappear" mysteriously. Then when there is a problem it's"no englais", but on payday "hey my check is short"
I know I am not alone on this.

Mexicans are the better laborers. When was the last time that you saw an American paint or do anything for that matter at minimum wage ($5.15/hr). They could hire tons more than we could for the same price of just a few Americans.
OR
They'd climb over the fence to help the Americans to make more money.
I guess there's an alternate answer....

It has nothing to do with how much we will work for. Just because we will not pick fruit for 5.15 an hour doesnt mean we cant or could not do it as well. Plenty of white people participate in hard labor. The reason they can work for that is only because that is double what any one in mexico could get for the same job there. If they could even get a job in mexico. If we were to offer them less than they could in mexico they would not even do the hard labor jobs here. It is simple economics

I agree with Choochie! The Americans would be arguing over who was the supervisor of the job and who the workers were. The Mexicans would finish first, even though they would all be drunk by the time they were finished. OOPS! Sorry, that was a stereotype!

Funny that most answers assume the American painters want to get paid. If it meant the wall was finished, I think we would have to turn away painters who were willing to do it for free.
