I really need to tell impatient Japanese clients "sorry, I'm new here" or "trainee" or "new worker" or "new at the job" as politely and simply as possible. I'm a clerk.
Thank you for any suggestions!

申し訳ございません。  私新社員なもので。
Moushiwake gozaimasen. Watakushi shinshain na monode
(I' am sorry. I'am new employee.)

申し訳ございません。 私まだトレーニングをうけている者なので。
Moushiwake gozaimasen. Watakushi mada toreining o uketeiru monodanode. (I am sorry. I am still getting trainings)

You can add - Amari wa ka ri ma sen (I don't understand much)
if you like.
If you want to be polite, there are not much simple way to say in Japanese..... Hope this helps!

watashi wa atarashii desu=I'm new
wakarimasen=I don't know/I don't understand
sumimasen=excuse me/sorry
gomenasai=deeply sorry
sayoonara=goodbye
That should give you a lot to say.

im not good with japanese, but if you say "im sorry i dont understand" in japanese that could be not very nice...

you can tell them .... i cant get words... maybe wait for someone who knows better.

maybe "sumimasen, nippongo (pronounced nee-hong-go) wa sukoshi wakarimasu" ---> (im sorry i understand little japanese)

* good one orico. thanks
