I felt this way once, except I didn't hear or see things that weren't there. However, I couldn't sit, lie down, sleeping would be totally impossible, couldn't think or concentrate, only standing was barely tolerable. Luckily it was determined that my blood pressure was extremely high - I'm normally low normal. The cause was a particular antibiotic, one that I had prior with no ill effects. Don't know how long you've had these symptoms, but do question your doc about whatever drugs you are taking. If none, then there must be some other cause. You wrote this question in Yahoo, so apparently are somewhat functional. See your doc, or get a referral to a specialist in neuropathy.

Honey what you are describing to us sounds like Bipolar Disorder with Psychotic episode. I know this because I have the same thing.
You sound as if you may be on a manic high and are having a hard time coming down off of it.
Inability to sleep, unable to pay attention and major mood swings are all signs of Bipolar Disorder.
Here comes the fun part. You say that you are seeing things and hearing things well those are classic signs of being Psychotic.
Here is the good news, there is help for you. Your mind is not playing tricks on you because you are having hallucinations and hearing voices and yes they make you paranoid when you can't control them.
Honey what you need to do is have someone take you to the nearest hospital that has a Psychiatric Unit and be admitted for the problems that you are having. You didn't say whether you are already on medications or not but you really do need to be on them to control the hallucinations and mood swings. You really need to be inpatient if you are paranoid and get something to even out the serotonin levels in your brain. That is what causes Bipolar Disorder, an uneven level of serotonin in the brain and that is what needs to be taken care of.
Your mind is not playing tricks on you, you just need to get started on some medications to even out your brain.
Oh, one more thing. Please be sure to be honest with the doctor and let him know everything that is going on with you because without you being honest he has no way of helping you. I hope that everything works out for you and God Bless you. If you want you can feel free to e-mail me at Shinningstar33160@yahoo.com and I will feel free to talk with you. Good Luck

Mind is probably playing with you. But the longer this goes on the more serious it can get. You need to go see a doctor right away. Sounds like you have a chemical imbalance. Have you been under a lot of stress? You need counceling or meds. It should fix you right up. Don't be scared. Get Help.

there are herbs if you are afraid of pharmacueticals, which there are lotsa resons to be afraid of. If you were a neibor I'd have you in for a while and work with you but my guess is you are far away. Did you try the church idea I wrote on an earlier answer. A big church will have professionals to help you, and usually free.

basically you're suffering from depression.
what u need to do is to focus on your priorities and give yourself a motive to survive.
cos i used to handle this kinda prob too.
i was told that i didnt have a life.
i needed to grow up and get a life.
its easy man. its all a mind over body thing.
you might be feeling depressed over somethin.
or you might jus wanna stone at home and do nothing.
but as fer me,my help was through my friends.
when i wasnt listening.i wasnt focusing on topics. i was paranoid over everything, when i had major mood swings.
friends would help by showing you attention.
maybe you jus need more attention from the outside.
and its just a mental illness.
im sure u'll overcome it.pretty soon.

If you have been feeling like this for awhile I would suggest for you to call a counselor, or someone to talk to. At least you can sit down with someone who knows what is going on in your mind. No one should have to go through this, it sucks (I've been there). Give it a shot or talk to someone that really knows you and ask them to help you out. If you continue to deal with it yourself it will only get worse.

I do not know your circumstances, or your age, but it appears to me if you can type this question on Yahoo answeres, you are in nearly complete awareness and control, and you are sounding very unpsychotic, and really normal. You are just obviously hanging around with a great crowd of people who sample lets say not just a pint, or a cig, Do not worry, Two weeks, hot milk, fruit, hot baths, hugs from who you love, you will be o.ki. there is nothing wrong with you but youth.

I have the same problem... I cna't sleep, focus, I have serious mood swings, and i act all paranoid..... I'm pretty sure I'm bipolar... that's what one of my therapists said... so maybe you are as well.... I just sort of let them flow out... don't pack them up ... I tried to do that.... like shut everything out so it doens't happen.. but it made it worse

Do you do drugs? This could be the cause of these symptoms.
If you aren't a drug user, this sounds like a sever case of paranoid schizophrenia.
See a mental health professional immediately!

go to the ER, tell them that, then the doc should admit you for 5150, and then you will see a psychiatrist that will help you with everything you just mentioned.
the most important question is you don't feel like hurting yourself, right?
hopefully they will give you some meds to help you. sorry
