Thyroid is a little gland in your neck.You mite say the adam's apple.It dont put out a inzime your body needs and you get low thyriod. You can take a med that will replace it. See the doc.

Lots of things, genetics, surgery, allergies...it is usually caused from your immune system being on overload. Such as in allergies or chronic disease.
Go get the blood work done if your are worried about it.
If you have it, you will feel a huge change in your physical well being as well as mental well being in a few days to 1 week.
