ASK AROUND, CHECK THE WANT ADS. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. I'VE HAD SEVERAL FREE MUTT DOGS AND THEY WERE GREAT.

Go to your local animal shelter or humane society. The ones in where I live charge a $25 adoption fee if the dog hasn't been spayed/neutered, but return the $25 after you show proof that you had it spayed/neutered. If you don't like that idea, you can try the ads in the newspaper. Sometimes people need to find a dog or puppy a good home and give them away for free.

Good luck finding your puppy!!

Depends on where you are and how much time/room you have for one. I would really recommend a pit if you have the room/time/energy, because they are truely loyal and wonderful dogs, and because of their bad reputation, people are often willing to just give them away. Look online for rescue operations in your area... like

Edit: How about a $50 adoption fee? There is a APT/Dalmation mix..

It is not very easy to find a free puppy. Everyone wants one. But if you go to your local humain socity or Dog pound they range from about 0-$80. Very cheep for a fun loving Pup.

Check your local classified. there is usually a bunch of "free to a good home" ads. But please remember to have your new pup fixed asap to prevent unwanted litters. There are many organizations that will help you get your pet fixed. My pit bull is getting fixed this week for free by a great organization in memphis. Also try your local pet shelter.

Well honestly I think you should adopt a puppy, it wouldnt be free, but you could save a little ones life. You should go check out your local animal shelter.

A lot of times the SPCA will wave their adoption fees when they are over stocked :-) If not, consider it anyways because their adoption fees usually include spay/neuter which will cost basically what you will pay for the adoption.
