If the reference to "this system of things" refers to Matthew 28:19 in the New World Translation of the Bible that Jehovah's Witnesses use, I don't believe the end is coming in the manner they have been predicting unsuccessfully since 1914. The end IS coming, but nobody knows when it will be.

Japan, France, America are just few of the many countries who underwent a lot of civil wars and unrests and then came a time for each of them to realize they have to stop and say enough is enough. Afterwhich, these countries have had a time of peace and happiness that made them progressive.
Now, it is the world as a whole that is in trouble; Like the storm, it will have the time to settle and the wind will blow again a fresh air in the atmosphere. Until all nations realize that they really have to agree that enough is enough again, the world will just keep hoping it is going to get better.

I think you will find that both the Ancient Mayans and ancient Egyptians calanders say some major END or great change in history occurs soon. I believe the bible's predictions in the book of Ezekial, Daniel, and of course Revelation, show us signs of the major chang of our 'systems', or of the way life is. These sighns of the 'end times' are all appearing out there! Big Big changes are coming soon!

The end is coming for this system of things, how else could things change for the better. When people understand that they must co-create a better future, things will get better. There is always hope, but people must take responsibility for their creations. There are two endings available to each of us,worst case scenario(hell),or best case scenario(heaven).Heaven and hell are fairy tales, but, choices are not.
