You need to talk to your student resource office and possibly public safety and file a report. Most schools have policies about threatening behavior, but you need to go through the proper channels and allow the school to investigate it.

I would definately get this taken care of ASAP if you don't it may only escalate because he thinks he got away with something and being as the teacher didn't want to handle it at that time I would file a complaint against the teacher ( I know we're not talking highschool here but I think the teacher should have still intervened) but like I said and I know from experience that if nothing is done and the security/school wants to do nothing about it the guy who threatened you will feel above the law and it will get worse

I suggest you have a serious discussion with the campus police and make sure they have you file a report of the incident. Tell word for word what this idot said and make sure you are escorted to your car every time you leave that class. Make sure the dean knows what happened too. Be forceful if you need be to be taken seriously, just mention you are thinking of getting an attorney if nothing is done and watch people jump. Protect yourself, this nutcase may get removed but that may not stop him from showing up on campus.

I'd talk to the instructor first, then the department head, then the dean until someone realizes that it is in the best interest of the school to remove jerks that threaten other students. I would think that the teacher should be the one to tell the other student that they are done with this class, but I certainly hope the school takes it seriously.

I would first and for most go to the teacher and if the teacher couldn't seem to help me then I would seek help form the dean. I would takt these actions before getting legal help. However if you are that afraid then i would go straight to the authorities aboout the problem.

You need to report him to the campus security. Then to the authority's in charge. I would report him to the teacher and if nothing is done report him to the police. The police will file a report and if anything happens with him he may be picked up and arrested.

Report him for bullying and using threatening behaviour and language.
It is not in your power nor is it your "right" to have him removed but it is your duty to let someone else make that decision!
He sounds like a freak!

file a complaint with school staff, and let them know if they don't do something about it, you will follow up with police. depending on threat, you may need to inform police anyway...good luck

Get a restraining order and he can't get close to you even in class.
