He gave us a great sign. If the world chooses to ignore it, then I cannot do anything about it. What you really need is the Holy Ghost. That is the best sign that there ever will be.

This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation
Luke 11:29,30
Jesus was living amongst the pharisess and other religious leaders, performing miracles, healing the sick, raising the dead, and still they did not believe.
God spoke the 10 commandments from the mountain in smoke and fire shortly after parting the red sea and destroying Egypt with plagues. Manna was falling from heaven 6 days a week and water flowed from a rock, yet still Aaron made a golden calf to worship for that rebellious people.
God has revealed himself numerous times in history, but people do not listen. How about you? Would you have listened if you had lived in Jesus' time, or would you have joined the crowd is yelling crucify him because He did not appear like you had expected the King of the Jews to appear?

There are thousands of people here on earth that the Holy Spirit
has revealed Himself to. I can honestly tell you He has revealed Himself to me. He will reveal Himself to anyone whom desires the
relationship both desire. Loving, close and sincere. There is nothing hard about it if you spend time with Him, He will spend time with you.
Faith is anything but boring, you learn a lot about God and yourself.
Depends on how bad and IF humanity wants God to reveall Himself.
Do you have friends? How would you like it if you never saw them and they never came around, would you keep going where they were going and kept trying to be their friends if they did not want you around? Well now you know how God feels.
God is giving us all kinds of signs, some people are so hung up on what he is not doing (or they think He is not doing) they are missing the best part and that's what He is doing.
Quite the contrary, God was very much revealed when the veil was rent top to bottom in the temple, and a pieist is no longer needed when we pray . We go directly into God's throne room and make our petitions known. Jesus cut out the middle man and became our advocate, or attorny at the right hand of the
Father in heaven.

apparently you are another who hasnt' studied what you are talking about. GOD did reveal Himself, and so you know the original copy of the book of Isaiah has been found and guess what. It matches what the bible said, and yes I'll post proof later.
Jeusus said there would be no sign for a perverse faithless generation.
And those preachers you talk about are not Christian.
As Christians there is a walk you don't walk and a talk you don't talk.
You say it's boring well then spice it up a bit for yourself.
Talk to GOD for one week and I bet He will show himself to you.
If you really have the guts, then you can have a revelation of Himself to you. but get ready it will rock your world.
Personally I dont' think you have anymore guts to do it than it takes to type this stupid question. You have no share with Christ, none of you do , you don't even have a right to take the covenant of His word into your mouths.

I believe too that you need faith... in order to keep moving forward in this chaotic and crazed world, in order to hope that tomorrow won't suck as badly as today did... does faith = God? perhaps... my higher power as I understand it/him/her
God has given us free will... the ability to decide our paths... sadly though, circumstance often cause us, the adults, to abdicate our responsibility to raising the next generation... used to be women stayed home, washing and cleaning and cooking and then sitting with their upper bodies leaning out their windows, an eye on the neighborhood.... people watched out for each other... generations lived together... kids now become independent at an earlier and earlier age... look at some of the questions on this site from babies asking about b'control... parents often both work and they compensate for their lack of quality time with money, cars, leniency, freedom, travel - we pay the price of living in the greatest nation in the world by sacrificing the privilege of nuturing and sculpting our kids to respect, to have values, morals... parenting is the most serious task in the world and precious few do it well... I think that people should have licenses to procreate... what will you teach a child that makes you a candidate for parenthood... a bit radical but its one of my fantasies :-}
I dunno but I think that if it hasn't yet been, a study needs to be done on the commonalities between the adults that abuse... that's very broad... start with the clergy... as you sow, so shall you reap...what is their history? what is their past? how were they raised? I wouldn't be surprised if there were some answers there
in order to even wonder why God hasn't revealed Himself would indicate that you believe in God... I do... I give thanks to God daily for allowing me once again to have a chance to get it right... I look at God as my personal father... I live my life to make Daddy proud... I filter my actions through that lens
I believe that there is one God overseeing the whole show here... and that he's not Protestant, Catholic or Jewish, etc. (like Vaseline is a brand of petroleum jelly, like Bandaid is a brand of adhesive bandage... )
a thought I heard years ago resounded deeply for me... "when we get to heaven there's not going to be one table here for Baptists, another table for Jews and a so on... we all going to the same place... wherever that is
as far as God revealing Himself? I believe he does... daily... someone up there is turning up the thermostat in spring and blowing the winds in the fall causing the trees to go bald... a baby's laugh... the thousands and thousands of folks that escaped 9/11....
I have an opinion on the books too... they are well intentioned meant to be a guide to the respective masses in their journey through life... imagine history if the various holy books hadn't influenced the way people approached their situations... I don't believe any of them to be absolute rule book but rather guides to life....
/me waves goodnight, pulls down the shades and shuts up... thank you very much

God reveals Himself everyday. Through Ignatian Spirituality, I believe that God can be found everywhere. If you seek, you will find. In all your attempts to disprove the revelation, did you take the time to examine the possibility that it is true. When you slow down and look at life, you can find God and Love inside of everyone.

God reveals himself daily to me. In the beauty of nature surrounding me. In the heart of my fellow Christians who support me. In His Word that He has provided me to help guide my walk. The difference (and I don't say this to be judgmental or rude) is that I allow myself the peace of being willing to stop and quietly listen when He speaks.
Do I have doubts and questions about God and why He has done some of the things He has. For sure. But I feel at peace allowing Him to make decisions that may not make sense to me. Because after all the reasoning of God is superior to my reasoning. When I put myself in a position to say I refuse to believe in You because I don't agree with Your decisions, then really what I am saying to God is that I know better than You what is right. I am basically saying that I am God not You.
May have gotten off the subject a little. Sorry. So just to restate I believe God does reveal Himself in so many ways. We just have to be willing to stop, be quiet, and listen when He speaks.

Jesus said that if one didn't believe Moses & the prophets (in other words, the Bible), then you wouldn't believe one coming back from the dead, either.
God has shown himself, and people still do not believe, so why bother doing more? The people who like God have enough evidence to believe, and the people who do not like God will always say that there is not enough evidence for them because they do not want to believe.

God shows him self in would strategies. confident God shows himself by his be conscious, by nature, by organic regulation, and somewhat some different strategies. yet God can exhibit himself to you in my opinion. consequently this is declared as a private dating. i don't think of to would human beings placed the attempt and time in to spending time appointed purely for him. i in my opinion have experienced God first hand, and have been in his presence.

Being an atheist I can't answer that question. However I am annoyed by all the dodgy answers you're getting. Ask a simple question and you can't get a simple answer. All very delusional. I guess we fail to understand it since we're not delusional.
