i have extreamly wavy natural hair, thats just long enough to tuck under my arm. (not that i do)

I just sent my daughter off to homecoming two weeks ago. We went and had an updo done (cause we thought that was what ALL the girls did). Seems down and curly was in this year. My daughter felt so out of place. Everyone else had these beautiful long ringlets.

either a cute updo with a headband or a pretty clip for your bags (if you have any) or just to be there, or there are tons of cute ways to leave your hair down if you like it like that:
straighten the ends, but leave the rest wavy. then put on a headband.
a braid is really in! clip some hair up, and braid the rest into a side or middle, loose pretty braid.
cute ponytail: leave it or straighten it, and put it into a regular ponytail, then rtake the ponytail and slide it down so there's a large bump under your hair. put a clip in and you'll look cute and messy.

Look on Eonline.com and look back at the Emmys and how famous celebs wore their hair. You will get great ideas.
I honestly think that wearing your hair down and curling it or sweeping it back is so much more sophisiticated, classy, and modern than piling it on top of your head.
You will notice that the stars definitely keep it simple. That's my best advice.

Let your stylist do an updo. If you don't like it, drop it, and remember that in 20 years it will look funny to you and out of style.

if u are going for homcoming queen than i would suggust a nice up do curls thts really pretty.
bt if u are just going to go nothing special. it isnt tht formal. to mine i wore an everyday outfit and just wore my hair dowm\n.

spriles, thoes are really cute, i did that for my homecoming last year. or some loose curls. you dont want to look like plain jane, so add a little volume to your hair!!!
