That is according to your belief system, Peter. Not everyone believes as you believe, and just because you believe it doesn't mean it's right. Respect other people and their beliefs and perhaps they will respect yours.
By the way, is your last statement to be interpreted to mean that you believe God is in favor of abortion? That's a very interesting perspective coming from a Fundamentalist.

That's the start of the problem. You think because you are a Christian you have an automatic Ticket into Heaven and you think they automatically go to Hell.
Revelations clearly states YOUR NAME must be in the Book of Life and being a Christian, beleiving in Jesus DOES NOT WARANTY THAT WILL HAPPEN.
Subscribing to the WRONG CHURCH or following the WRONG leader my keep your name out of the book.
There is no indication that an Atheist might be excluded. If the Atheist doesn't follow the "beast" or get the mark of the "beast" and a Christian does get the mark, whose to say if God won't let the Atheist into heaven.
Remember this is GOD'S DECISION, not yours, so why do you keep judging and making decision for God. Maybe such actions will KEEP you out of heaven, because maybe GOD doesn't want MAN playing GOD!
You can cite all sorts of things you want, but the Bottom Line is it is ALL up to God and if God doesn't let YOU in but he lets in an Atheist you have to live with that.
Remember that some Christian Religoins (Methodists, for example) believe in PREDESTINATION.
What that means is GOD created Atheists for a reason. They are PREDESINTED for this task.
If God predestines them, then why would God forsake them!
He put them here for a reason, what that reason is we don't know! Do YOU question GOD!
Other religions believe in Free Will.
Ultimately GOD decides who goes and who stays and we only have a vague idea from Revelations about that.
In Revelations John did not state absolutely that ALL Christians were immediatley cleared for entry into heaven.
EACH person is JUDGED by GOD in the Book of Life and all who know you will learn at the same time you do!
That's the end of the story!

"How can people who are going to Hell be better than people who will live forever and ever?"
Peter. First of all no one is saying one group is better than the other. I know some brilliant Christians and equally brilliant Atheists. The I.Q. is not what is being debated on this site. Religion and Spirituality is the subject for Q & A and hopefully some lively discussion.
Now to the subject of hell. This, along with heaven, is a part of your personal religious belief. It is an essential element of the Christian mythological construct. The fact that you believe this to be absolute truth is your right and it is perfectly fine. What you must learn to accept is that not everyone believes as you believe. There are many, including myself, that have read the bible, studied it reverently, and come away from the experience believing not as you do. This is perfectly fine too and it is our right. The fact that there are people here that would like to engage you in argument and debate on the subject is also perfectly fine and within the rights afforded by this site.
The fact that you believe the bible to be absolute truth and I believe it is myth, should excite you. Isn't part of the Christian doctrine prosletizing to the non Christian? Does this not in fact charge you to welcome religious debate? If not, what kind of Christian are you?

"How can people who are going to Hell be better than people who will live forever and ever? pls give me an answer to that."
They aren't necessarily better but it's often suggested that they are because they do the right thing without the hope of heaven or fear of hell. You have no evidence that anyone is going to hell or heaven or that either place even exists so it doesn't matter.
"Religious people do what they are told no matter what is right, atheists do what is right no matter what they are told."

How can you say atheists are not intelligent? A person's belief in religion or lack thereof does not have anything to do with a person's IQ. Do you ask every single person you meet everywhere, everyday, what their belief is? If you see people walking down the street or driving down the road, can you look at them and know if they believe in God? Last time I checked, Christians gave birth to retards too.

sorry to do this to you but that scripture you say the bible says, well it doesn't say that. What it says is that if anyone would keep one of these little ones from coming to me, it is better that a millstone be tied around his neck and he tossed into the ocean than to have ever been born. It's in the gospels. And the only other place is when Jesus talks about His betrayer Judas.
You are right though, the two are night and day. We go to heaven they don't.
No atheist will ever see the eternal glory of GOD except for a brief moment when he/she will stand before Him and hear Him say "Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you."

Ok, so you are convinced that your belief is true. I simply cannot believe that fairy tale. You'll spend your life looking down at me, or feeling sorry for me, and looking forward to your eternal reward in Heaven. But I believe that when you die, there will be no Heaven, no Hell, nothing at all. And you'll have spent your life in a delusion. I'd rather not waste the only life I have in a delusion.

You're right, there is no comparison. It is not like comparing life and death, it is like comparing choosing with being directed.
However, I will not continue any debate about who is going to heaven (a non-existent place) because of what god (a mythological being) said in the bible (a book of folklore).
It's getting mighty hard to maintain my generally respectful attitude here tonight and Chicky is getting GRUMPY.

They are two different people. Do atheists just believe you die, and that's it? You're dead... nothing? Well if that is the case, that is fine that they believe that... will they find out differently when they die and go to hell because they didn't believe... or will NOTHING happen to them because they really don't believe? I am curious to know. But I think that is their choice to be atheist, that is okay, it is not hurting me. as long as they don't talk crap about me being Christian... you know?

God loves you far more than your silly little religion is telling you.
Religion is a lie that is being told about an unconditionally loving God.
The real God judges nothing And would never allow a place like hell to exist.
To believe that he would is a complete lack of faith in our loving source.
Love and blessings Don
