Little to none. If you stop eating, your body will slow down your metabolism. You will also deprive your body of vitamins and minerals, leading to malnutrition. If you want to lose weight, you will need to cut 500 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week, 1000 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week. If you cut much more than 1000 calories, your metabolism slows down.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 lb. It's a slow process--but slow is the only way to keep it off. Remember when Oprah lost all of her weight on that "omnifast" diet? It was a liquid diet that brought her under like 500 calories a day---pretty much starvation like you are suggesting. She says in her book how she was so excited to get into her size 10 calvin's---and she stayed a size 10 for one day. The day after she started eating normally she gained a lb.... the next day, another 2 and so on. Before she knew it she gained back all and MORE because she had screwed up her metabolism so much. My guess is that you'd lose over 10 lbs. if you stopped eating for a week. But you wouldn't just lose fat---you'd lose muscle and there would be NO way you'd keep it off. If you're considering it---just don't go there---be patient---slow sucks but it works and if you can just stick it out for a few months you can then reach your goal weight and work on maintaining it in a healthy way.

if i were u, i would NOT have done that. if you don't eat the slower your metabolism gets which means you may lose around 2 pounds but you might gain some as well. sorry. if you eat small portions at least for every meal, do NOT skip any, you will most likely lose more than when you don't eat. trust me, i sometimes skip some of my own meals and i am carrying a little extra pounds that is hard to lose. and i play sports. so better luck next time. p.s. drink plenty of water. if you do you'll know why it helps in about 2 or 3 wks. i wish you the best in that weight loss.

That is very unhealthy so I wouldn't recommend it... You would lose more weight if you just eat light meals a few times a day such as fruit and stuff... Beyond that it depends on how much u weigh and how much body fat to know how much u will lose.... from only a week it may be a pound or 2 but definately excersice

If a person were to stop eating, the body would still need to find fuel.......and since you wouldn't be providing it, it would have no choice but to consume itself.......mainly by breaking down fat and muscle. It's ok to break down the fat.......but breaking down muscle is very bad. Remember, your heart is a muscle, and most people with anorexia actually die from heart failure because their bodies consumed part of their heart muscle and therefore it couldn't function properly anymore.......and led to death.

Not eating also causes your body to go into starvation mode which means all organs tend to shut down except the most vital organs.......which means you can't think as clearly and you will feel sluggish.

Not eating for a week can be damaging to your body in more ways than I can go into here. You just wouldn't be attractive anymore. Your skin would be lackluster and pale. Your hair would be dull and dry. And you would have caused your heart and muscles possible damage.

There are much more healthy and attractive ways to lose weight.....but they require things like exercise and eating healthy which require hard work and healthy planning......things most people aren't willing to do.

First of all, thats disgusting. Secondly, it depends on your weight and caloric intake. If you weigh 300 lbs, you might lose 25 lbs, but if you weight 120, you might only lose a couple, maybe not even five. Just exercise and eat healthy!
