I'm not a Falwell expert, but I do know that he's responsible for starting some pretty useful programs that help teens and adults deal with drug and alcohol problems. I also believe he's one of the smuggest Christians ever born. I know that he believes that schools would be better run by Christian churches, reflecting only Christian beliefs, and he considers secular Humanists like myself to be evil.

"The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country." ~ Rev Jerry Falwell, Sermon, July 4, 1976

I am a Christian who loves the Lord. I also admire Christians who stand on God's word in truth and love. I do not like Jerry Falwell. I think he has an arrogant attitude and I don't like the way he talks to people who don't understand they can believe the bible. I think he should pray more and talk LESS!

I believe him to be a hateful, mean and judgmental person and therefore not a christian. Christ was not hateful or mean or judgmental. How can we call someone 'christian' if they are not Christ-like? It's what the word means.

There's his URL. I'd start there. But keep in mind this is the man who blamed the December tsunami on feminists, gays and the ACLU. He also stated that Ariel Sharon was in hospital because God was ticked about him giving the Palestinians back part of the West Bank. He's a nutjob, IMO.
