OK, you have a needle poking into your flesh, below the epidermis to the dermis millions of times. What do you think? Did you think it was supposed to tickle?
Being serious now, yes they hurt. Some spots are not bad at all. Some hurt worse than others. If you find a design, any good tattoo artist will let you know the less painful spots.

Yes most do, and remember you can never get them off if you decide you don't like the design or if the artist mess's up. There are some areas more sensitive than others ( i.e. The stomach and neck cap )
There are some fake tattoos that only come off with a certain Alcohol, i would reccomend.
Good luck, some tattoos can look really really pretty!

Thats a question, you yourself will have to find an answer for, I have many tattoos and I loved all of them the pain is minimal, some spots are tender where as other spots are fine, back side of arm and ribcage generally hurt the most....but all in all, its a great addictive feeling...anyone who has one tattoo can tell you, that before they even finished with it, they were wondering where to put the next one, Hope that helps

They definately hurt but the pain is bearable, not torture. It's kinda like an adrenaline rush. But it's worth it knowing you are going to get a cool tattoo out of it.

Yes they hurt but the degree of pain is dictated by location, with factors such as the number of nerve endings in the area and the amount of meat on the area.

they hurt, but it depends on where you get them. I mean no matter what it stings, but some places are more sensitive than others. Even though theres discomfort and some pain, it feels amazing. ALl three of my tattoos hurt, but they felt great! such a rush!

Heck yeah they hurt----they are poking a needle lots and lots of times in in you !
How much it hurts depends on your level of pain tolerance, abilty to relax during the procedure, and where you get the tatto. Fleshy areas hurt less than boney places--the tatto parlor can tell you all about that too.

I only have one (so far) and it is on my wrist.
It didn't hurt that bad.... more like an irritation or an annoyance than a pain. Definitely manageable if you get something small and in a non-sensitive fleshy place (like the wrist)

You understand what they are, right? Needles rapidly penetrating the skin. Think about it for 30 seconds, yes they hurt. How much depends on where you get it and how high your pain tolerance is.

It varries for each person and each spot varies. I fell asleep when i got mine. Didnt hurt at all. It was actually really relaxing. But definitly go somewhere good.
