My hair is very curly, when i use a blow drier it ends up frizzy and lumpy. A very hot flat iron is what you need to get flat hair. Cost does make a huge differnce in the end result. I've tried many differnt kinds and I've found that a cheap one will not get all the lumps out. What product you add before you dry also helps with the frizz. Redkin's heat glide works really well for me. You just have to be careful not to get to much in one spot or your hair will be really greasy in that place. I hope this helps.

My hairstylist gets my curly hair very straight by blow drying it in sections with a flat vent brush. He makes sure each section is completely dry and it does get it very straight. I don't have as much patience, so I kind of blow dry it straight with the brush and then I spray KSM Flat Out and use a Hot Tools flat iron on it.

Try Alberto V05 Hairdressing,, lots of it, you might like a smooth glossy wet look style, many women look good with that.
Go to yahoo groups called greaserwomen.
It is a site for those who like wet/slick looking hairstyles on women.
