Barbaro’s right hind leg has a new cast and a new shoe and is healing well, while his left rear hoof is gradually improving from laminitis.

Barbaro is healing better than expected and the cast is due to come off soon. He's being allowed walks outdoors and seems to be free of pain.
They still have concerns about the laminitis and he still has an indwelling IV line just in case. For now there's reason to be optimistic.

He's alive and healing very well but hopefully not kicking anything right now.

He's still recovering. His left hind still has a lot of hoof regrowing to do, but the broken right hind is healing well.
