No, kindness does not equal weakness...but why do you think submissiveness equals weakness? Some of the most well-balanced, fun personality, cute-as-can-be awesome women I have ever met are married to a great guy and totally respects the husband's marital role as leader in the relationship. This doesn't make them weak, a buffoon, foolish or anything. It actually frees them to be the people they were meant to be.
And these guys do not treat them like dogs, but like precious gifts.

I have lived in Asian for 45yrs,Not all Asian girls are submissive. If they were why is the divorce rate here so high.I would say far from submissive. In fact I find Asian women to be very smart, they know what they want and they go for it,a lesson to us European women, yes the culture of most Asian women is to be none confrontational in public, believe me behind closed doors, they will set things straight,European women in general don't do this,we are more vocal in public, maybe a good lesson to learn from Asian women,I believe in women's rights but don't you think some times it is taken to far,we have lost a lot of our femininity ,maybe this is why we see so many mixed marriages now.I do also think that the sex trade in Asia does not help,

People tend to group all asians together which is wrong. The submissive ideology comes form the Chinese/japanese side of the Asian race.
For centuries Chinese females had their feet binded together binded together so they would forever be dependent upon men for all things, and would never equal men. They were force for their entire lives to live as mere servants of the male dominated society. The submissive role for them was real, and still is in some remote areas, but by and large now the Chinese women are (due to democracy in places like Japan, tiwian,Hong Kong, and Americam influence.) becoming more equal to men in all areas of the world. But for years their role was one of submissive. Japanese women before WW2's ending very much played a sumissive role and lived for the pleasure of their husbands. WW2 put women to some degree into the work place and American Occupatin and democracy led them into the freedom they enjoy today.Vietnamese women have always held a place of honor in the vietnamese family. Many America Indian women served sumissive rolls in their tribe, and some still do
today.
The most dominated women today ar e muslims. and Africans.
Many (even americans) attempt to pass this off as a culture thing even as women are sentenced to death by stoning for such things as getting raped or her head scarf falling down. But women under Islam ar emere salves in all musim countries except Malaysia, and parts of Pakisatan, and Indroneasia.
I would nearly say this question was asked by a male seeking to deny that submission of women existed while it does world wide.

My best friend is Asian (Thai), and she is definitely not submissive! She's really nice, but not submissive. That's an overgeneraliztion. Every person is different, cultures may influence a person's character, but everyone is different. Stereotypes hurt all people. :(

Closed minds or pushed to think that way. Look around and in the long way around you'll find this all averages out
