Everyone is right on the money. Time numbs the pain of a broken heart. You keep busy as you can, you keep active, you take care of yourself. But, really only LOVE can heal a broken heart. Loving yourself is the key. And then of course, if you are fortunate enough to one day find a newer, stronger, more enriching and mature love and you look back and realize this is the LOVE that makes you happier, you heart is finally "mended"

It's not that it heals, it's just that it gets easier in some ways. In other ways, not. All people are different and so what is there to compare? Feelings of love are also different for each person, I'm sure. How do you compare feelings of love? Anyway, if you're a romantic like me, no, it will never really heal, but you have no choice but to go on. I pray and pray and pray. Hope and hope somemore. Everytime I see this person, I fall deeper in love. But it's one of those things that if it's meant to be it will be. That's what everyone says anyway. I don't know. I don't share my private thoughts with many. Only on yahoo where no one knows who I am........

Only time will tell...you can't go around thinking about when your heart will mend. It's a powerful muscle, and it knows how to take care of itself. As long as you keep living your life; working, doing things you enjoy; spending time with your family and friends: just remaining occupied with not much time to think, you'll find yourself in a content place where you realize that person doesn't encompass so many of your thoughts anymore, and then you'll get to that place where you're wondering why you don't think about that person anymore, and soon, there will be nothing there and it'll feel fantastic when you realize you've moved on! Life is too short to dwell. Sea lo que sea...it is what it is...if it's meant to be then it will, sooner or later, in the meantime live...be happy...and get rid of your watches! LOL!

Yes...and it doesn't heal from rebound relationship (that just dulls the pain.) I PROMISE it gets better! The number one thing that sucks about a break up....is you never think the pain is going to go away...you never think you'll feel that way about someone again. (Both not true.)

Now at how long it takes is an answer for another question...

Yes it can. It seems like the pain never stops. But it does. At least, it gets less intense. So, while you're hurting, try to go through it normally. Cry your eyes out. It's okay to be sad. Just don't let it ruin your life. And, sharing your grief with another person (like you just did) helps too.
