I'll soon be married to someone who's in the Army who was recently stationed in Michigan. I have a good paying job that I've been at for 5 years.

see if your job will tranfer to the base in Michigan. You could try and find a government job in the same city. To do this, go to google, type in government jobs and it should bring up a list of available websites. The first one brought up should work. Last thing you could do, there's a place on the base that helps dependents get jobs on the base. You would have to get the number from the base phone book or possibly from your husbands chain of command.

Honestly if you are going to be part of a military marriage its best to get a job on base. You can looking into billeting, AAFES, or the Commisary. This way anytime you have to move its easy enough to just transfer over to the new location.
