There is this guy at my school who I really want to ask to our Homecoming next weekend. I danced with this kid once at one of our normal dances last year but he doesn't really know me at all because he's one grade higher then me. I see him during my A period when he's in his physics class because I have a class thats 2 class rooms away from him during that period. I don't know how I can approach him without seeming dumb and I don't know what to say to him since he doesn't really know me. I don't know if I should ask him if he remembers me or not..I need help!

thanks, verity

First: go to him and say hi and see if he answers back.
Second: If he does respond ask how he's doing and get to know a little more about the guy
Third: Continue to do this as often as possible without giving any hints to what you plan to do, and try not to freak him out.
Fourth: Just ask simple everyday questions and when you feel ready ask him to go with you to Homecoming. Try to ask as soon as you're ready or he might bet another date or something might come up to were he cant go. Bye!

Try sparking up a convo and then bringing up homecomming. Ask him if he's going and then he'll in turn ask you. Just say "yeah i wanna go but i dont have a date yet" and if he wants to go with you, he'l ask you here.

Verity~

A true lady would never ask a man out. Why don't you just try to get him to notice you this week. Maybe he will ask you out. Never ever ask a guy out. It is not lady like.

just go w/ the flow. you should say "Hi my name is_____, do you remember me from last year?" and then small talk. then you ask about homecoming. see what happens.

you will never know the answer until you talk to him, take the initiative and just approach him.
