Say, "Friend, I need to steal you away for a moment." And then walk away with the friend.

You let the one friends know that she is needed, and suggests that no one else is welcome. Usually their friends get the point and don't follow.

Try, "Excuse me, but I need to borrow (my friend's name) for a moment." or "Excuse me, but could I speak with you privately for a moment, (my friend's name)." These are the most polite ways I can think of to speak with someone privately.
