yes there is such technology and the united states actually has a lazer so if a huge meter or comet was coming straight from earth they can blow it up into millions of small pieces so it wont have any effect on earth.

Amazingly yes to both, but only very small asteroids sadly. Eventually it will be perfected though. Maybe two or three years give or take

yes but it needs to be stronger to blow up an asteroid or take out a nuke

Aeroplanes yes, I haven't heard that they can destroy an asteroid.
