Hey guys,
There's this guy I've met through another friend. He lives quite far from me (two hours from my home and one hour from school) yet we've spent the past 5 fridays hanging out at his place. Mainly with others around, but also a bit alone. We chatted a lot on messenger and had incredible conversations. At one point, I got the definite impression that he liked me as more than friends.
The next time we hung out, we got some alone time away from the others and we got real close to kissing. I only said I felt confused and never really went for it.
Now I'm 17 and have never gone out with anyone; haven't dated nor flirted much, etc. With him it's different. I really like him a lot (notice how I'm terrified of even mentioning the word love)
Lately though, after I showed more interest, I felt less from his side. Except I will often break through somehow. I just don't know what my next step should be... I'll probably meet wtih him friday. Any suggestions, tips?
Plz! Help me out!

When you said you felt confused, you effectively put him at a distance. If you guys have hung out this much, and he's tried to kiss you, he was definately interested, but probably isn't sure how to read you right now, giving you space.

He smacks of a gentleman to me; if you get another chance this Friday, just open up with him, and don't use the word "confused"; say what you said here (except the love part; you should continue to not say that right now). This will be enough to put you guys back on track.

But don't apologize or feel wierd for trying to take it slow. That's a good thing.

You are very susceptible to emotional confusion. Its your first exposure to the posibility of "love", and it wont be your last. You'll look back on this as a memory, make it a good one by following your heart and not doing anything you'll regret. Its a learning experience. And a life experience. Dont move too fast, just get to know him, and let time tell. It sounds like you are projecting your desires upon him, wanting more than he does. Slow down honey. It may not be what you think it is. Then again... keep an open mind.

If you really care for him and he appears to care about you, open the door if he knocks on it...in other words, kiss him if he wants one. It's time to make some type of move to let him know that you do like him...no?

Actions speak louder than words...if he seems dis-interested, he probably is. He may just be bored with the long distance thing.See how he reacts to you, then act accordingly to the situation.
