Who puts salt in their egg salad anyhow? Eggs, mayonnaise, little onion and mustard, relish, and just a pinch of sugar. Perfect egg salad. Maybe if you like salty egg salad you should add the salt onto the sandwich after making the egg salad to prevent any further happenings.

Make more egg salad without salt. And add to it. I know that sounds a little extreme but \I am just giving another idea.
Though if I done this myself at home I would probably add some more mayonnaise if using that.

sometimes a little sugar will halt the extra salty taste but if you really went overboard with salt you may have to make a half of a recipe without salt and mix it together.
