Well.. you have to be a little careful on that one.. After all.. if someone is prowling outside.. you would want the dog to bark.. So.. do you really want to go thru the motions of teaching her NOT to bark? If you really wanted to do that.. you should have a folded up newspaper and everytime she barks. tap her not to much but lightly on her backside and scold her to by saying NO... in somewhat loud tones..

If It was MY dog.. I would want her to bark

you may think this is cruel and painful but it really isnt . you go to the vet and tell them you want a shock box. its a smaill box that attaches to the dog collar and when the dog barks it will send a small shock to him and this will and guaranteed to stop him from barking at everything. you will only have to use it for 2 or 3 days at the most.

most probably, your dog is spending most of her time in a quiet set up. try praying music or radio near her. to let her get used with noise. that would level up her sensitivity of noise outside.

also walk the dog as often as possible. if the dog being caged in a certain place or inside the house for a long period of time. she would also behave this way.

Put a barking shock collar on her. They have some with 7 different level settings to minimize her discomfort.

First see the vet, but I'd suggest one of those electronic collars that give them a ZAP!!!

Or have it de-barked.

Or get rid of it. Your neighbors (and you) don't deserve to spend years of their lives listening to a dA-mn barking dog.

Your dog is protecting you and her home... we taught our dog "ENOUGH!" if he barked excessively... if he didn't stop after that, we'd clap our hands once and he'd stop.
