How many Founding Fathers were there in all? How many of that number were deists?

There were 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention. The majority of them were Christian. However, only about 10 of these men were highly influential and most of them were Deist.

Thomas Paine didn't sign the Declaration of Independence, but he helped write an even more important document: the Constitution. He was a Deist.

Many of the group of men often called the "founding fathers" were deist, such as Franklin and Jefferson. I don't know the exact numbers of it, though--Christians try to claim that all of them were Christian, many atheists try to claim that lots were atheists or deists...
