Headaches can be caused by all kinds of things. I would go see a doctor first to rule out any serious problems.

In the meantime you can try these steps for various headaches:

For a sinus headache, try a couple of sudafed (or the generic version, but not that phenylwhatever crap, that doesn't work.) Take two advil, and apply a hot compress aross your eyes and nose. You might also try heat on the back of your neck. There's a nerve that runs from your sinuses to the back of your head on each side, and if it gets inflammed, you get a wicked headache.

For a stress headache, caffeine is good, as well as heat application.

For a migraine, you need medication, a dark room, quiet and usually a cold compress. No caffeine.

Headaches suck, I've gotten them my entire adult life. Your best bet, regardless of what kind it is, is to take an antiinflammatory like advil or aleve, and rest in a cool, quiet, dark place.

Good luck!

most likely it's a problem with small sinus passages. At nite you lie down, sinus's can't drain. By the time morning comes your all stopped up. As the day goes on gravity is pulling blood flow back down and drainage. The secret our family found is in morning when pain is worse, take two advil or tylenol and a sinus spray like sinex 12 hour. Sinex in a vasodilator and opens up passages to allow blood flow to the brain. Lack of oxygen is what is causing the pain. Try two squirts in each nostril. Important to take both medicines together. Probably should ask your doctor before you do this. It has actually taken all the problems away from me and my family. Both medicines are over the counter.

It could be caused by dehydration, try drinking more water throughout the day... be careful about cutting back on caffine, if you drink a huge amount of coffee or coke, cutting back could cause withdrawl symptoms, one of which is severe headaches.

well, I used to have those kind of headaches as well, but mine were eye related problems. Your eye can let too much light in(w/out u noticing) and can cause some pretty swell headaches

It sounds like you need to get your eyes tested. I had the same symptoms. I went to the doctor thinking i had a tumor or something. He refered me to an optician who diagnosed me with short sight and fixed me up with some glasses. Headaches stopped, problem solved.

Stay away from caffine for a few days and see if that helps. I was doing the same thing and I stopped drinking cokes as much and they went away.
