"I hold that in this country there must be complete severance of Church and State; that public moneys shall not be used for the purpose of advancing any particular creed; and therefore that the public schools shall be nonsectarian and no public moneys appropriated for sectarian schools."

Absolutely true Teddy.
However some government agencies seem to have forgotten that. Should it finally be made illegal for religious groups to mis-apropirate government funds for thier own needs and wants?

I see your point. One part of the problem is the monopoly the 12step programs have in the addictions field and the higgldy piggldy HP. we are not religion we are just spiritual...any god of your understanding or mis-understanding.... see the orange papers and Sanegallery.... comics for those harmed by the big dishonesty program...masked as an honesty program. AAs own surveys show what a whopping failure it is AND...people who have been exposed to AA are four times more likely to commit suicide...that is a big bad side effect they don't want you to know about.
