People who use "natural" remedies for bipolar are either 1) Not really bipolar or 2) Playing with their lives.

Having said that, I feel based on posts here as well as just my experience of bipolar in general, many people say they are bipolar who haven't been diagnosed as such. Also many many people have no idea what bipolar really is so they think they have it and are treating it "naturally" but they are not.

Bipolar disorder is a very serious form of depression. Stay with your prescriptions DO NOT change your medications or use herbal remedies without consulting your health care provider. Changing or using these remedies could result in adverse effects. Please do not seek medication advice on the internet.

Gypsy Girl Zoloft IS used to treat depression although it is also used for anxiety.

Zoloft helped my husband-
but long-term more natural treatments maintain his health-
walking at least 15 minutes every day,
weaned himself off newsgroups and forums that made him angry or upset,
dumped a lousy friend who was a depressing influence,
and took up more spirtitual practice, including meditation.

Are you sure you have bipolar disorder? They usually don't prescribe Zoloft for bipolar. Meditation works well.

please just remember that medication is a supplement to actual behavioural and sympathetic therapy. if you only rely on meds as a quick fix to change your problem you will never get anywhere and really just do damage to yourself
