Which product is more effective, etc?

as i know symantec provided a better customer services...
so many people more interested with symantec products...
for the effectiveness.. i think all the products have their more and less.. so it depends on your needs...

if you ever decide to switch brands, good luck if you're using McAfee, it wont uninstall completely, and they try to cover to many areas, not focusing on one particualr area, therefore misiing things now and then, Symantec is more userfriendly.
but AVG Free is what I use, and it found 3 viruses on my drive that Symantec and McAfee had both missed, and also AVG is compatible with EVP which is bios virus protection.

My own experience says that McAfee is better than Symantec and Kaspersky is better than McAfee.

One of my biggest dislikes about McAfee is in order to get your downloads you must go to their internet site, sign in first and update the software. Also certain parts of the program create an open door to your computer (backdoor)!
Symantecs on the other hand has Liveupdate and in addition to Liveupdate you can download anti-virus immediate to this date and time from Intelligent Updater. Liveupdate does anti-virus updates once or twice a week! Also they have anti-virus and adware, spyware tools at your immediate disposal!

Honestly, they are both pieces of crap. Symantec has greatly decresed their product effectiveness as well as macafee. I would look into gettin ZoneAlarm. I have not gotten a virus since I got it because of all of its features to keep you protected!
