I'm extremely insecure about my body. I feel like the only way to shed the recently gained weight is to resort to eating disorders. My stomach is disgusting, not to mention I have a large rib cage which already sticks out, even though I'm not abnormally skinny. Is this problem fixable (The ribcage and the weight)?

Sorry, To answer your question, I am a girl.

But I'm worried about gaining weight. Chances are it will all go straigh to my stomach, rather than my chest or my thighs where It'd actually look decent.

you are just fine the way you are.
remember that you are still growing. At 14, you still have 5 or 6 years of growth to go. As you grow, you must not be discouraged as your body changes. You may find that one month your tummy will look fuller, and then the next your hips may fill out a bit, then your boobs will grow.... then all of the sudden, you will grow an inch and everything will have smoothed out a bit more!!
Eat well balanced meals, get lots of sleep and excerise and don't think about it.
Remember that you are beautiful! there isn't anything you should do about your height or weight so long as you are eating well balanced meals at regular intervals.
God bless
:)

You can calculate your body mass index at this website: http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calculator.aspx. That will tell you how much you should weigh at your height. I'm going to guess that you are pretty much average.

You need to realize that you are 14 years old and at an awkward stage in life. You are still growing into your body. You may think you look gross, but my guess is you don't. Been there, felt that. It gets better I promise. Just remember that you are beautiful person.

To be a healthy weight for that height, you would actually need to put on a few pounds.

I've heard that it's 100lbs for the first 5 feet, and then 5lbs for each inch after that, so you're good.
