I like Rum & Coke... ok well I LOVE Rum & Coke. But everytime I get it at a bar it's either wayyyyyyy too strong (like 50/50 or less) or way too light.

I like 1 part rum to 3 parts Coke. How do I communicate this to the bar tender?

Should I be like:
"I want a 1 to 3 rum and coke"
or
"I want a 3 to 1 rum and coke"
or am I way off track.

When I say bar, I mean a bar at a club....... wayy too loud to tell him what I want.

I am an ex bartender and I always preferred it when the customer would tell me exactly how they wanted their drink. ie; "A rum and coke, make that 1 part rum to 3 parts Coke, please." That way there are no misunderstandings and I made the customer happy and got a better tip for a better drink.

Go to the bar ask for a triple rum and single coke they will but that will put the drink up to about 7.50 per drink depending if u live in Canada or the uS

Order a coke and a shot of rum. Same price, but you can mix it the way you want. Its a very common thing.
