America is at odds with iran, venezuela, iraq, and all those are oil producing nations. Iran and iraq both have enough oil for 90+ years. Maybe we should consider antarctic, artic, and alaska oil drilling.

Maybe it has less to do with the oil and more to do with the raving lunatics in these countries. Most of these countries harbor radical terrorists.Venezuela is the country that started crap with the USA.Iran has a history of kidnapping Americans and holding them hostage.Iraq has violated EVERY UN sanction against them ever.
The USA DOES drill for oil in many other places.Maybe you should consider opening a book! Then you would see all of these FACTS.As well as seeing that the Antarctic is far too hostile an environment to do any more than anyone is doing there right now.
I find it fascinating that some of the people that agree with you have no idea how to spell. It's their not there

Oil is a key part of our economy. So oil countries who start acting funny with us pose a serious security threat. Its a sad but true fact that when things begin affecting our economy the government might be inclined to use the military.

Remember us forcing open the Japanese harbors for trading with our Navy?

Remember us constructing the Panama canal so America can create more shipping lanes?

Our military is controlled by our politicians

Our politicians live and die by the economy

So it seems that if something could hurt the economy, politician's might want to use the military to help.

Why? for the oil (self explanatory).

considering Antarctica? noway, why would they want to do some manual labor to get the oil while someone else already did the dirty work for and have it stored ready to be consumed. Oh, not to mention US do have plenty of oil produced within the nation stored.....until they used up all other oil rich nations' oil.....that's when the US gasoline will be $20 a gallon - unleaded!

Why should we put holes in our nice ground when others have already done so?

We wouldn't be so dependent on foreign oil though if every other vehicle on the road wasn't a huge *** SUV or something.

Come on now - wtf does a single guy w/ no kids need a bigass Lincoln Navigator for?
