Healthy food choices, when you don't have a health food store near you.
Supermarket:
Choose fruits:
grapes, strawberries, cherries, to snack on, instead of candy
Choose healthy crackers/snack:
Wheat thins, Whole Wheat Crackers, Rice Cakes, Multigrain chips instead of potato chips.
Choose yogurt over icecream.
Choose fish over red meat.
Choose baking or broiling over frying and heavy oil.
Choose vegetable over 2 starches or 2 carbs on your plate.
(Like eating chicken, rice, and macaroni on your plate, when you should chose, chicken, rice, and a vegetable.
Choose steamed veggies, over boiled veggies for a long time.
Choose oatmeal, cereal or granola for breakfast OVER eggs, bacon and toast, pancakes everyday.
Salads:
Choose iceberg or romaine lettuce, add plum tomatoes, shredded cheese, cucumbers, and grilled chicken, if you like crotons, add those, don't use heavy salad dressings look for the ones that have olive oil, or a nice vinegarette.
Don't eat before you got to bed.
