Its because your as a teenager your maturing therefore you want more freedom, your father sees you as a child and wont give you the freedom you want, also being man your father wont understand exactly what your going through where as your mom will as she has been there before

Teens usually clash with someone, whether it's their mom or their dad. I don't think all teens clash with their dads, some clash with their moms too... but it's common to have one of your two parents that you feel closer too. Often because one parent takes more of a authoritative approach and is labeled as the one who disciplines... The other parent is labeled as the more understanding one. Even though they both love you and care about you as much they have taken on different roles. Teens seem to clash with the parent who is most strict and has more rules.... they don't like the limitation and boundaries they are given, so teens usually rebell, tension and fights start... It can get pretty ugly, I know... but you'll grow out of it, I hope!

Fathers can sometimes be more overprotective and strict and tend to have less faith in their daughters making the right decisions.
