As a resident of Las Vegas, I have played just about every slot there is to play at one time or another. Believe it or not, I'm ahead of the game and here is how I do it.
I NEVER play the older reel type slots. I play the 20 line video slots.
Find a slot that is on a major aisle - one that has a lot of foot traffic passing by. DO NOT bet the max bet on any machine. I play whatever is the bet just below the max bet.
There is something about slots that will almost always let you get ahead at some point early in your play. You may only get ahead a few dollars, but when you do - QUIT and move to another machine. If you don't get ahead in the first ten spins move to another machine.
I keep a book on my slot winnings and over the last several years I am ahead over $16,000. While that may not sound like much for that length of time, it sure beats being that much in the hole.
Oh yes, one other thing. Always be on the lookout for new machines that just came out. The manufacturers and casinos always have those machines paying out much more than they take in. Why? Because they want you to play those machines to get you hooked on them. Be warned, however, that this "give away" mode only lasts about a week, then the machines are set to their normal payouts.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the larger the denomination you are playing, the less the casinos keep and the better your chances of winning.
Over the long run, you will lose if you insist on trying to beat a certain machine by playing it for any length of time.

If you're into video poker at all you should visit bobdancer.com...he has a lot of good information and products. Not really sure how much of it is free.... If you are only into slots, it's going to be much tougher to make money.. It probably can be done, but will require a lot of effort....Look for slot machines with unusally high progessive jackpots-occasionally they may be profitable. Always use your slot club card..Look for special promotions and coupons. I would subscribe to Strictly Slots magazine or buy some back issues on the internet but always remember video poker gives u a much better chance than virtually any slot game..Also, many casinos advertise which slots return 98 or 99% on the casino floor...Good luck.

Well, I don't think there is a real way to win.
I play this way to keep from losing too fast:
I put in $40.00 and plan play $20 of it maximum. I bet 1x all lines and see if get any return money in three to five rolls. If not, I withdraw and go another machine and repeat the above.
If I get a machine that is "responding well" and giving back little bits of money on every other turn, I bet 2x every other turn. If I get into the "feature" before $20.00 is gone I keep playing until I lose three to tive turns in a row. Then I find a new machine and repeat the above. After awhile I have identified several "favorable" machines and enjoy playing them and usually walk away with $40 to $80. So I have won by playing on the casino's money for several hours and not taking a loss. If I am feeling really lucky, for a real thrill, I will take the end of night money and risk it all in a $5.00 or 10.00 machine.

Only real way is to play a good casino bonus while playing slots. http://www.theultimatecasinoguide.com has bonus listings in their reviews, if you clear those on slots you can turn a profit.

You have the same chance of improving slots victories as you do lottery victories. You have no control over what happens. Table games and video poker will give you better chances of payback because you have gained some control.

do like the old lady that keeps hitting the million dollar kitty. Play the ones by the door. that's the one that everyone that didn't hit puts their last coins for a last hope. someone got to win if they just keep playing the one closest to the door.
