There was a hurricane 15 years ago on the Island of Kauai in Hawaii and all the bees were blown away for 6 months. No flowers, no honey. Both industries were hurt.
They had to re-introduce them atrificially (bring them in).

A lot of plants would suffer...bees are one of the main pollinators of plants. The plants couldn't reproduce as well.
