how far long distance are you talking? eventually if you want the relationship to move forward one of you will have to move to be with the other person but that doesn't mean it won't work. My fiance moved to be with me. We met through yahoo personals and he lived about 2 hours away from me so it wasn't way way far away but it was still far when we were wanting to be with the other one and couldn't until one or the other had a day off and could travel the two hours. We managed to see each other about once a week for like 7 months or so then he moved in with me. It was easier for him to pack up and move than it was for me that is why we made the decision for him to move. Based on jobs and custody arrangements with our kids and things like that. We;ve been together almost two years now and are getting married in dec.

It depends:
How old are you both?
How far apart are you?
Is his girlfriend going to find out?
Who is spending the $$ on the calls and visits?
How much do you BOTH like each other?
How long have you known each other?
Are you seeing each other as a couple now?
Do you think it could last long-term?
I would advise you to have smart choices when asking yourself these questions. Email and phone relationships SUCK. Been there! There's just NOT enough reciprocation going on there and I wouldn't get into that unless we could spend time in person together. Some people are content to do that - and those people just aren't really ready for a real, committed relationship. Why should they when they can hide behind a phone or an email? They usually have other honeys to talk to besides you! I just hope you both are ready, willing and able to spend together face to face and all the other stuff.

My bf lives 2hrs 45mins from me. We talk on the phone and computer every day and make plans to see each other when i am not working the weekend. He is self employed so if he knows ahead of time he can make sure hes off to see me. And i only work part-time so when i dont work weekends i have 4days weekends to see him. We have talked about the future and the way it looks he will probly be the one who will move.

it could but you guys would have to keep in touch with each other everyday..my one friend had one of them that lasted all through the summer then they broke up and now they hate each other but its always nice to see the person so i would say go ahead and see how it works
