Hi! I was stationed in Virginia myself, aboard one of the Destroyers. As far as your move and money situation, your best bet is to get to your local PSD/Travel and check the paperwork they have there. Most times, they have a list of what exactly you have been payed, and what you are entitled to. When you left VA, you should have had some paperwork outlining what your next steps would be, though I admit VA wasn't notorious for doing their jobs right...;-) The PSD (Personnel Support Detachment) will have a Travel pay office that will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do. Hope this helps, and good luck!

I grew up a military brat, was in the military and married a career military man. But what the hell is a dity move? Never heard of it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, never done a DITY move... kind of like having them pack my stuff and moving it for me while I supervise...LOL...

Contact Military One-source...they should be able to direct you to the right people! Or if you moved to Fort Lewis, contact someone there at DOL. Good LUCK!

If youve relocated to a new command there, then go to your base family service center or PSD, they will contact who they need to talk to. But acctually, why didnt you just turn in your paperwork there?....They could have paid you. Anyways...just keep all of your receipts for everything you do now that your there and for all the travel expenses on the way.

Are you and your husband's real names Jack and Dianne? If so, I think there is a song about you.
