most people i know think that is it rally wierd that my dad was once a guy and is now a women. it upsets me and i just want to know how other people feel about transgenderded people in genral. a lot of people at school think that it is weird that there are people like that in the world and use it just like gay, by or lesbain. its mean in a way because it is just a way that a person is it doesnt make them any better or worse

i think that if my dad didnt change then he/she wouldnt be the happy person that she is now. she could have killed herself ( a lot of transgendered people have ) or just not be happy. i am happy for him i think. i am glad that he/ she is better off. my dad still loves me and really does try to make everything ok. Its kind of wierd calling him "mom" or his new name in public and i usually dont feel comfortable about it, and he knows that, so he tries to help.
mostly the reason i am writing this is that i want the world to better understand transgendered people

I understand it. I have spoken with many transgendered people and found them to be very loving and well balanced people. I don't find it any mystery that people can be born in a body that does not fit their mind. Unfortunately, our society is not particularly kind to transgendered people, and I think it will take a very long time for them to understand it.. I hope you find happiness in life and that your Dad now has the peace of living in a body that he is comfortable with.

Just let him know you will always love him, no matter what he chooses to be. He is your dad and you should always love him it may be confusing and you may never have an answer of why he did it but everyone is unique.

Is he your dad now and used to be a woman? Or was he your dad and now a woman.

I wouldn't hold it against you, but yes, it is a big strange and/or confusing.

If he is happy that is all that matters. It doesn't bother me.
