well you dont want to just sit up and cruches. you do want to do some but also use a sit up board and do them on that because it uses your lower ab muscles then do leg lifts and dips to use the upper and lower ones. by only doing sit up and crunches you on use six of the eight abs and that is why most ppl only have a six pac.
